Listen to Bhagavad Gita.

Listen to Lord Krishna , Listen to Bhagavad Gita.

At the beginning of creation, Krishna spoke the knowledge of the Vedas, which guides souls on the journey of life and ultimately back to their spiritual home.

From time to time that knowledge becomes diluted or changed. To revive it, Krishna came to this world 5,000 years ago and spoke Bhagavad-gita to His friend Arjuna. The Gita contains detailed teachings on the supreme, infinite soul (God), the finite souls, karma (work in this world), time, and creation.

Looking for God?

He is sitting next to you,

His face similar to you,

His eyes looking at you

Inviting you

Temples, Mosques, Church,

Gurudwara are places of

Confusion, excuses and

A place for escapism

But if you want God,

He is near you sitting next to you

Waiting for you to see him

And accept him

Open your mind and

Your arms to accept him.

Mind and its power

The mind stuff is finer matter in vibration.

The mind can be said to be the invisible side of matter and matter is the visible side of mind.

The human minds are like the eddies in that one eternal current of the cosmic mind.

The power of thought is tremendous. What we think, we become after a while. The idealistic thoughts are consequently transformed into realities.

What we call genius is in reality immense power of concentration.

Nothing can be achieved without concentration. There is no power in the universe higher than the power which comes through concentration. The power acquired by its practice can control all the physical forces of nature.

Mystery of Death

Death does not mean destruction, but it simply means the change. Our mental or thought form is equally subject to change like our physical body.

The worship of truth alone will reveal to us the highest ideals and that is the highest kind of happiness and blissfulness.

The true self, although it may appear through different forms or different bodies, is itself formless.

Know that you are the child of Bliss-'Amritasya putrah'. Feel it and be conscious of it.This is your ideal. Hold it and make it integral of your being.

You should first realise who you are and the rest will take care of itself.

The essence of our soul is immortal and that can never die.

15 Laws of Life - What You Need to Keep in Mind

15 Laws of Life from Swami Vivekananda

1. Love Is The Law Of Life: All love is expansion, all selfishness is contraction. Love is therefore the only law of life. He who loves lives, he who is selfish is dying. Therefore, love for love's sake, because it is law of life, just as you breathe to live.

2. It's Your Outlook That Matters: It is our own mental attitude, which makes the world what it is for us. Our thoughts make things beautiful, our thoughts make things ugly. The whole world is in our own minds. Learn to see things in the proper light.

3. Life is Beautiful: First, believe in this world - that there is meaning behind everything. Everything in the world is good, is holy and beautiful. If you see something evil, think that you do not understand it in the right light. Throw the burden on yourselves!

4. It's The Way You Feel: Feel like Christ and you will be a Christ; feel like Buddha and you will be a Buddha. It is feeling that is the life, the strength, the vitality, without which no amount of intellectual activity can reach God.

5. Set Yourself Free: The moment I have realised God sitting in the temple of every human body, the moment I stand in reverence before every human being and see God in him - that moment I am free from bondage, everything that binds vanishes, and I am free.

6. Don't Play The Blame Game: Condemn none: if you can stretch out a helping hand, do so. If you cannot, fold your hands, bless your brothers, and let them go their own way.

7. Help Others: If money helps a man to do good to others, it is of some value; but if not, it is simply a mass of evil, and the sooner it is got rid of, the better.

8. Uphold Your Ideals: Our duty is to encourage every one in his struggle to live up to his own highest idea, and strive at the same time to make the ideal as near as possible to the Truth.

9. Listen To Your Soul: You have to grow from the inside out. None can teach you, none can make you spiritual. There is no other teacher but your own soul.

10. Be Yourself: The greatest religion is to be true to your own nature. Have faith in yourselves!

11. Nothing Is Impossible: Never think there is anything impossible for the soul. It is the greatest heresy to think so. If there is sin, this is the only sin - to say that you are weak, or others are weak.

12. You Have The Power: All the powers in the universe are already ours. It is we who have put our hands before our eyes and cry that it is dark.

13. Learn Everyday: The goal of mankind is knowledge... now this knowledge is inherent in man. No knowledge comes from outside: it is all inside. What we say a man 'knows', should, in strict psychological language, be what he 'discovers' or 'unveils'; what man 'learns' is really what he discovers by taking the cover off his own soul, which is a mine of infinite knowledge.

14. Be Truthful: Everything can be sacrificed for truth, but truth cannot be sacrificed for anything.

15. Think Different: All differences in this world are of degree, and not of kind, because oneness is the secret of everything.

Walls Could Talk

If these walls could talk,
you'd know my body is dead,
my mind has been taken over,
that's why I am so scared,
I can't control it,
anger is making me blind,
I've been left here on my own
chained to a hate of some kind.
If these walls could talk.

If these walls could talk,
you'd know about my fears,
about all those nights I screamed for help,
about all my fallen tears.
You'd know about the demons
haunting me at night,
you'd be able to help me
keep my fire alight,
if these walls could talk.

If these walls could talk
they would say that it's all right,
God sends His angels
to look over me at night.
They'd encourage me,
say though I am alone
it doesn't mean I‘m on my own.
He watches me, from above
and showers me with all His love,
if only these walls could talk.

Memories

Was walking down memory lane,
Was walking on the beach,
Throttling the feelings of pain,
Keeping doubts out of reach.

Had a look at the sands of time
The hours when time itself stood still,
Could hear distant bells chime,
And I was walking while I still stood still.

Felt the heat of the sun beating,
Could sense an awe that the past left,
Saw the sheath of life fleeting,
Glimpses of what was there were best.

If you want love, look here.........

Life becomes boring when you hope to find happiness in the things that you see. Just remember, if it's a man, a house, or a car, they cannot give you what you already have.

Happiness comes from what you are, not from what you see. It comes from the place where you actually experience it.

At the most an object can remind you of what you have already. But I think you will find that if you rely on the man for your happiness you will be disappointed. That's because a man cannot give you that which lies within.

Krishna So in your meditation, try to find the place where you actually experience happiness. Then your meditations will become very alive and interesting. You will feel that you are discovering something new and profound everyday.

And in the end, you will discover the kingdom of heaven within you. That is a deep peace that does not depend on what you have or don't have. Also, it does not depend on the condition of your mind and body.

Finally with this understanding, when you do get into the relationship of your dreams, you will be in a position to make it a very rewarding relationship. That's because you will be the happiness that everyone is looking for.

The key to self-knowledge

Don’t fake enlightenment
You do not have to fake enlightenment. If you're just honest, and start where you think you are, you will be in a perfect position to discover the truth or reality behind the whole universe. An ordinary person is a lot closer to enlightenment than an ostentatious teacher who has not seen what he or she is trying to teach. First these teachers will have to give up their pretension so that they will be in a position to look at their lives honestly. Then they will be able to find what is true. (I do not know all the teachers that you mentioned so this commentary is not necessary directed at them)

You can cut out this step if you are just honest from the beginning. You will know why honesty is so important if you know the secret to self inquiry: Whatever you see you are not. This means that when you become aware of a limitation you are free of it. So why not just look honestly without judgment and become aware of as much as you can.

Now notice what I didn't say. Struggle with your thoughts in order to get the correct ones, shoot your energy through your spine, get somebody to reshape your brain, or repeat over and over again that you are peace and one with everything.

The reason I have not mention these things is because they are just an attempt to change that which is limited. That's right, your thoughts your energy and your brain are all limited. Not matter what you do or don't do to limitation it will not get you any closer to your limitless being. Moreover, when you try to change your thoughts you are assuming that you are centered in the mind and from that limited perspective trying to find your being.

Miharshi-with-cow2-iC Find the self by standing as the Self
The only way to find the self is by standing as your self and looking from there. Room space will never discover its true nature if it assumes that space is limited to a room. Similarly you will never see your true nature of you assume that you are limited to the body or mind or even the “I thought” or ego. So give up assumptions of limitation and look at life afresh like a new born baby.

You will be surprised by how close you are to the highest truth ever discovered by a human being, and that truth is just who you are..

Finding what is truly present

Self Inquiry lets you look afresh
Self inquiry gives you the opportunity to look afresh and see if that’s what you actually experience. So when you meditate on a statement like: “I am not the body,” take your time with it. You might ask questions like, “When I close my eyes do I really sense a body in a world.” For instance everyone knows that when you close your eyes the world is there but you don’t see it, right?

But what is your direct experience anyway? When you aren’t looking, is the world there but you don’t see it, or is the world gone? Go by your own experience and not by what’s supposed to be true. See, it’s not that your sense of reality disappears. That’s because reality comes from your Awareness and not from the body or the world.

Does a thought really exist?
A great Buddhist example of this type of presence comes from a student in China talking with his master, the Second Patriarch. He asked, “Master my mind is bothering me.” The master replied, “Give me your mind and I will cure it.” The student said, “But I can’t find my mind!Good then I have cured it,” replied the Second Patriarch. At that moment the student woke up and became the Third Patriarch.

Isn’t it ironic that so many people are bothered by their mind, but so few people look to see if they actually have one? Thoughts are very illusive; when you look to see what they are, they disappear. The thing that makes the mind seem so real is Awareness and not thoughts.

When you enjoy life what are you actually enjoying?
When you enjoy good food, or making love with your wife, or walking in the mountains, aren’t you actually enjoying this sense of presence? Isn’t the enjoyment coming from something that is deeper, more immediate, and more intimate than you can put your finger on, something that you can’t quite grasp with your mind?

On the other hand if you are walking in the mountain on a beautiful day and all of the sudden you realize that you forgot a very important appointment at the office, your experience will change. As you rush back, thoughts and fears are rushing through your mind about what people will think when you don’t show up on time.

Remember you are still walking through the same beautiful mountains but now your experience is completely different. So does your experience of peace come from an object, the mountain, or is it coming from deep within you? Moreover, as you grow spiritually you will find that the experiences that are supposed to be stressful are not stressful at all. The big stress eliminator is recognizing that you are what you are looking for. Then you will see that there is nothing outside your Self-Nature that can add to your happiness, and nothing that can snatch it away. This is one of the results of the magic of spiritual practice.

Is there really a thing called an ego?
The whole time that you think you are experiencing a person with a separate ego you are actually experiencing God. In fact in reality nothing stands apart from God. The feeling of separation is just imagination, like the perceptions of separate people in a day dream.

Ramana Maharshi talked about the screen in a movie. No matter what goes on in the movie like wars, love scenes, and bustling cities, when you reach out to touch the movie, you touch only the screen.

In the same way, no matter what you experience, the thing that makes it seem so real is Awareness. In reality there is no separate person experiencing events in a world. There is only God experiencing God or the Self experiencing the Self. There is not a big self at war with a little self, or God at war with an ego, only God.

Ramana-iC Then what is self inquiry?
When you inquire, “Who am I,” you do not bring forth a brand new self; you only discover what you were experiencing the whole time. When you look to see what the ego or ‘I’ thought really is, you find that nothing was really there. Your Self-Nature is so close that you just looked right past it and assumed that reality belonged to the objects that you see. But now you see that the eye of God is really your eye, and with the eye of God, you can return reality to its source.

The magic of this process is that since things are different than you think, your experiences become fresh and new. It is as if you are experiencing life for the first time just as it really is. That is the presence I am talking about here.

A meditation on happiness, a natural relief for stress

Achievements do not guarantee happiness
This is the Self calling you back to the source. What people achieve in the world will only last for a short period of time. Not only that, their achievements cannot guarantee their happiness. That's because achievement cannot provide what it doesn't have. Happiness comes from the inside, the place where you actually experience it, not from what you achieve.

Stress comes when you are afraid of failing. Now you can't always control if you succeed or fail, but you can always abide in the peace and happiness that's at your core.

Where do you experience happiness
So when you feel happy and at peace, meditate on where you actually experience this happiness. Does it come from the world and what you see, or does it come from what you are?

Peace is closer than a state of mind
And when you feel tense and stressed out know that peace is not far away. You can find this peace faster than you can change your mind. That's because peace is not a state of mind. You are not trying to get your mind just right. That's an endless task. Awareness is the source of this peace. The very fact that you are Aware of the stress means that you are free of it, not caught in its grip.

So meditate like this: When you are happy and at peace, note where you actually experience this happiness and peace. And when you are stressed out, notice that you are Awareness and not a state of mind. Stand here and see if stress can really bother you.

The nice thing about this meditation is that you can do it all of the time, whether sitting, standing, walking or lying down. It does not require any particular posture. Still spend some time meditating on what's really important.

What is it that makes a person valuable?

When we look at the value of a person, we often ask: How much money do you have, or how much education do you have, or how smart are you? And yet underneath our measurements we feel that something is missing, that there is a beauty that we can’t quite grasp with our mind.

Somehow we feel that our value is invariable. That it is free from the ups and downs in life. But as we have seen recently, our wealth can fluctuate like a storm in the ocean. At one moment we can think that we have a lot; In the next moment we can realize that we were taken in by a scandal and now have nothing.

Even our intelligence changes On a more subtle level, we even see our intelligence changing. At one moment we feel sharp, like we have the ability to master even the most difficult concepts. But even when sleepy, we don’t feel that our value has disappeared

The reason for this is that our real value comes from our identity. For instance, if we stand as a body then our value lies in the condition of our body. But if we stand as the mind we can let our body go. That’s because we value the condition of the mind more than the body.

But the mystery of life is that we are even greater than the mind. That’s because we stand free of any state of mind. The proof is that we also see the ups and downs of our mind.

Sunsetovertrees Your identity is not a thought To find your real value, return to your original intelligence, which was there before your mind was. One caution here: you do not want to mistake your original Consciousness for a thought. To avoid this notice that you are aware of the subject, which we call the I thought, as well as the object. This means that if you say: “I am going to the store,” the ‘I’ here is just another thought, it is not you.

If you can find this place that is free from the presence and absence of your thoughts, you will find the peace that passes all understanding. Here you will find your true value. It is deeper than anything you can fathom and is not affected by the ups and downs of the world. This is your true home. You know it because it is just who you are.

Destroy EGO

"By seeing that the ego is unreal. "

If you let go of all definitions of yourself, the Truth of the unreality of the ego shines forth on its own. To recognize when you define yourself, just recognize when something feels limiting or uncomfortable, and let it go.

Then the Truth that you cannot be described in words or thoughts, that you are not even a separate entity, shines forth. Who we really are, can be called the "Source of Love". That's the closest description that can be given to what is indescribable.

Don't try to see the Truth with your mind. That would be like trying to see the sun with a flashlight. But the sun can be seen by its own light. Who we really are can be seen by the light of Love.

The ego is just a piece of software, a self-reflexive concept with a function related to survival. Although not ultimately true, it has relative truth and function to serve consciousness when we let it take a supporting role instead of center stage...when the software gets updated, so to speak.

Two: "To recognize when you define yourself, just recognize when something feels limiting or uncomfortable, and let it go."

When something is uncomfortable, feel it first. If you try to let go of the discomfort before it has delivered its message, it can easily become spiritual up-leveling - using spirituality as a technique to feel better.

I find it useful that when there is something uncomfortable, feel it first and then look at the belief that is at the core. And there you will see as you have said, where you are defining and limiting yourself.

This kind of self limitation is perfectly normal and innocent. It continues until we are willing to embrace the limitations of form and find the formless hiding there in plain sight!

Stepping inside nature

But let’s take a deeper view right from our own experience. When we plan a vacation in nature we are not planning to pack into a hostile and deadly environment, are we? Although we do see death in nature, we also see birth and life. We see love and cooperation among the animals; we see the vastness of the mountains, the oceans and the stars. The overall impression that we get is one of beauty, peace and harmony. Now that’s why we like to spend out time in nature.

Tracing this feeling of beauty and harmony further, we go inside our own being and see that the beauty and joy that we thought was out there, really comes from in here. Indeed, the oneness that we feel when we are in nature comes from stepping inside.

Standing here we get to appreciate fully what we are trying to preserve. It is a great symbol of the joy that comes right from our heart. And all we can do is stand in awe of a beauty that cannot be contained by just these words.

Space is not limited to a room

When you identify with limitation, it is like room space trying to conceive that it is not limited to a room. As long as space identifies with the room, it feels limited to that room. But when the walls come down the room space gets to see what it really was all along. Space gets to see that it was never really limited by an object. Similarly when you take your sense of reality out of the things that you see like the world, body, and mind, you get to stand as you really are, the seer of these objects.

From here you will see where reality, consciousness, and bliss really come from. They don’t come from what you sense; they come from what you are.

Emotions Forever

How do I love thee? Let me count the ways.
I love thee to the depth and breadth and height
My soul can reach, when feeling out of sight
For the ends of being and ideal grace.
I love thee to the level of every day's
Most quiet need, by sun and candle-light.
I love thee freely, as men strive for right.
I love thee purely, as they turn from praise.
I love thee with the passion put to use
In my old griefs, and with my childhood's faith.
I love thee with a love I seemed to lose
With my lost saints. I love thee with the breath,
Smiles, tears, of all my life; and, if God choose,
I shall but love thee better after death.

Various Reasons Behind Each 1s Smile

What Not To Do With Money (PLEASE!)

People invariably believe that money can make them happy -- and rich people usually do report being happier than poor people do. But if this is the case, shouldn't wealthy people spend a lot more time doing enjoyable things than poor people?
